A Constantia estate renovation on the edge of a small vineyard. This young family needed a beautiful but functional space for their family to grow into. They love to entertain and the kitchen space needed to be a center point for kids and friends to congregate around. The style of the house was modern but with strong classic elements so the joinery needed to marry the two styles together. The kitchen was designed around the feature island which houses the freestanding cooker, prep area for cooking, seating for kids/guests and plenty of functional and well thought out storage space. A combination of Caesarstone engineered stone and solid Oak were used for the tops. A coffee/breakfast station was created with attention to detail on the light pelmet and solid oak veggie drawers on soft close runners. A blue glass splash back matched the satin sprayed blue finished panels on the island. Warm white above counter LED’s light up the breakfast station. All hardware was supplied by international brand, Grass. All hinges and drawer runners are soft closing.
