Our seamless export and installation process ensures exceptional results and client satisfaction every step of the way.
Initial Engagement
Once you contact us, we embark on an unforgettable journey. Our first meeting sets the tone for the mastery that we, as a founding member of The Excellence Group, are known for. We will schedule an official brief meeting with one of our designers and client experience consultants to understand your requirements in detail.
Brief Meeting
On the day of the meeting, we meet at our Cape Town showroom (or online for international clients). If possible, we tour the design hub, the factory, and our 300m² showroom. We then review your architectural plans and get a feel for the scope of the work. We talk about style and design vision, and we also find out more about your lifestyle to understand your specific needs. Every step is an essential part of the journey.
Design Development
This stage is a detailed process that, depending on the scope, takes anywhere from two to three weeks. Our design team is highly experienced and well-versed in international trends. We also have in-depth knowledge of the technical details. During this time, we research trends and seek inspiration for the detailed drawings and realistic renders we will present at our next meeting. These bring your vision to life. We also explore samples and finishes and draft a cost proposal.
Presentation Meeting
Now, we get closer to the magic. We aim to blow you away with our interpretation of your vision, with samples and visuals to better realise the end-product. 3D design development drawings, photo-realistic renders, and video walkthroughs are used to convey the magic. We present a costing based on our proposal and, if necessary, discuss relevant changes. We also discuss logistics and transport ability for projects outside of Cape Town.
Client Appointment
When the design development is signed off, we take another exciting step closer to your dream home. With Spotlight Joinery as the appointed experts, project programs are confirmed, and a site analysis is completed with client experience consultants and site managers. We also finalise logistics and transport arrangements.
Final Measure
We take final measurements and create detailed, technical construction drawings. Then we liaise with other professional trades to finalise services such as gas, electrical, and plumbing requirements relating to the joinery. When the details are signed off, we finalise production dates and start manufacturing.
Manufacture
The joinery is manufactured under stringent quality controls, overseen by designers, production managers, and clients. Meanwhile, our site managers visit the site regularly to keep abreast of progress and to ensure the space is ready on time for the joinery installation. We also ensure logistics and transport arrangements are on track for projects outside of Cape Town.
Installation
Site managers and installers are briefed on the project prior to delivery to site. The installation team is introduced to the main contractor as well as the clients. The entire on-site process is managed closely by the site managers and client consultants. You, as the client, are updated regularly as your dream takes shape. Logistics and transport arrangements are closely monitored during this stage.
Snagging
The joinery installation is analysed and reviewed by the in-house team during a three-step process to ensure the highest standard has been achieved.
Client Handover
Client experience consultants guide you on how to use the product, hardware, and new appliances, and show you how to clean the materials to ensure longevity.
