House Seycehelles

Into Africa: A Picturesque House in Mahe, Seychelles

Step into the lap of luxury with us as we take a closer look at the breathtaking house on the African island of Seychelles. This stunning abode, designed by local architect Justin Raath, is a testament to the beauty of island living.

Made in Cape Town and installed on the serene shores of the African Island Mahe, Seychelles, this home is the epitome of elegance.

Project Overview

The interior style of the home exudes an old-world charm, with the interior joinery done in a traditional shaker style. The efficiency, simplicity, and quality workmanship in Shaker design is something you will find deeply embedded in many of our projects.

The home was done in collaboration with architect Keith Skimmer, installers Dan Wallace and Joinery design and manufacturing  by Spotlight Joinery. Our scope included the Main Kitchen, Scullery/Laundry, Entertainment/Braai Area, Wine Cellar, Living Room Area, Master & Kids Bedrooms and EnSuite Vanity.

All of the joinery was designed, manufactured sourced locally, in Cape Town.

The kitchen is the heart of the house, with a traditional aesthetic that really exudes the feeling of a home. The cabinetry, done in deep blue and detailed in brass ironmongery. The countertops were done in quartz granite from caesarstone. Notable features include the Butler sink on the island, the Turkish tiles on the walls and a coffee station wing line door fronts.

Bo Bylin, the managing director, flew up to take measurements and meet the clients, who who had worked with us before on a project. He then went again to oversee the installation of the kitchen. As with all our joinery, they were first set up in our factory and then dissembled and packaged for shipping.
